Our Manifesto

Antics Media is the fresh and fledgling brain child of Antics Studios Sdn Bhd. Antics Media is developing exciting new web applications that will aim to revolutionize the way people buy products, exhale their social influence and interact with the world's biggest brands. With strong overseas financial backing, Antics Media wants talented freethinkers to help in our digital revolution. Our goal is to develop a series of platforms that will help bring together both brand and consumer in a unique, progressive manner.

Leading the revolution is David Barton-Grimley (Managing Director - Antics Studios) and Mark Wills (Managing Director - Antics Media), who together have pooled the resources and funds for the Asian digital scene to no longer sustain the mundane.

But revolution doesn't come easily. It takes free minds, new concepts and a desire for a new way of thinking. To do this we need enthusiastic people who want to develop their careers and scratch away at the surface at what's beyond Web 2.0. You'll get to play with the latest technology, create new techniques and develop server architecture while surrounded by an international team of programmers, designers, idealists, visionaries, space monkeys and strategists. If you think you have what it takes (and can survive our 5 day initiation in the mountains 'finding yourself') you will be involved in a company that is not only working hard developing a number of exciting, ground breaking projects, but who also believe that the key to great work, is fun work.

Web Content Editor

We are looking for a young and enthusiastic individual who is seeking to develop a career in the world of online content editing. Initially you will need to work and engage with a variety of bloggers and other media specialists to procure the highest quality content.

Our first offering will involve you spotting the latest trends in fashion, style, products, and celebrities. Forming your own opinions on what's hot and
what's not.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that all content is relevant, compelling and appealing to target audiences. Work within and help to shape Antics Media strategic editorial policy. Proactively create and source content. Contribute an important user-orientated perspective to the process and manage the creation/acquisition of content in accordance with deadlines. Prepare textual content for websites (including feature articles, advertising copy, database content, links FAQs, etc.). Update and maintain time-sensitive material. Playing a proactive role as part of the wider Marketing and Communications team, in the delivery of Marketing and Communications strategy.

Requirements:

Experience: 2 years relevant experience managing and editing online content preferred. If you can demonstrate desire and aptitude, you will be considered.
A genuine interest and solid understanding of Web 2.0.
Exceptional copy writing skills; examples of work will be requested at interview stage.
Excellent communication, organizational and planning skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
An interest and network within the brand/fashion and/or blogging world.

With strong overseas financial backing, we are developing a series of platforms that will help bring together both brand and consumer, empowering the relationship by facilitating brand engagement.

We’re looking for enthusiastic people who want to develop their careers and work beyond Web 2.0. You’ll get to play with the latest technology, techniques, set up server architecture that can handle loads of traffic and join an international team of programmers and strategists at Antics Media. The successful candidates will be developing a number of exciting, groundbreaking projects that are pushing the boundaries of technology and will be first of their kind in Asia.

Responsibilities:

Report directly to the technical lead
Prioritize and manage workload effectively
Ensure all projects are delivered on time and to the highest possible standard
Improve existing knowledge and acquire new skills through self education, research and training in some instances
Actively contribute to discussions and brainstorming sessions as requested.
Liaise with colleagues, suppliers and clients where required in a professional and helpful manner
Develop/program, modify and maintain web solutions using a variety of technologies
Implementation of server-side and client-side code to produce technical, interactive and database driven sites
Contribute to documentation (instructional and technical specification) where required

You should have:

Minimum 3 years experience
Experience with Object Oriented PHP
Zend Framework Development experience (Experience with other frameworks are also welcomed)
MySQL, Advanced Database Design, Advanced SQL Knowledge
Object Oriented Javascript

In addition we would like you to have:

Knowledge of Google, Facebook Graph, Twitter and Amazon.com APIs, SVN
Git, Advanced CSS Skills, Knowledge of Testing Methodology, HTML/DOM
